Visits and Events for 2024 for WDHS

 

Several exciting visits are being planned for 2024.

 

A Local Whitstable Garden

Dates:  Tuesday 30th April 2024

Times: 3 to 6pm

Details: A very interesting garden created from scratch and on a tricky site. Lots of good ideas and great planting. There is no charge. Refreshments at £1 for a glass prosecco or a coffee if you bring your own glass/mug.  No dogs.

 

Leonardslee Gardens, Sussex

Dates:  Thursday 2nd May 2024

Times: Details to be confirmed

Details: Coach, all day outing.

 

WDHS Annual Plant Fair

Dates:  Saturday 11th May 2024

Times: 9am -12 noon (TBC)

Details: Plant contributions from 8.30am (TBC).

 

Swallowfields Nursery, Elmstead (off Stone Street), Kent

Dates:  6th June 2024

Times: From 6pm

Details: Self drive, £10pp includes refreshments

 

Hever Castle, Kent plus visit to nearby nursery

Dates:  Thursday 4th July 2024

Times: Departure: Pier Avenue 9am and St Alphege School bus stop 9.10am. Depart Hever about 3pm, return to Whitstable between 5-6pm.

Details: £30 pp. Coach, all day outing. Those who wish to see the castle interior can upgrade their tickets on the day.

 

No-Name Nursery, Sandwich

Dates:  Late Summer

Details: This is Steve Edney's Garden (ex-Salutation Gardens).
